Want To Lose Weight and Feel Great? Sign Up For FFIT!

Thu 5th May 2022

Last season’s Football Fans in Training participants lost an amazing 182.3 kilos (that’s 28 stone 7lbs!) collectively, and you could be part of this success story and turn your health around by signing up now for our new course.

FFIT is Europe’s leading healthy lifestyle programme, and can help you kick-start your health, wellbeing and fitness. Long-term research has proved that FFIT participants not only lose weight on the course but mostly keep it off and maintain a healthier lifestyle months and years after the course has finished!

We’re here to provide the expertise and motivation you need to for a healthier, happier future!

All sessions will be held at Ibrox following Scottish Government guidelines in relation to health and safety to help create a safe and welcoming environment.

Open to both men and women via separate programmes, participants should be aged 35-65 and should not have taken part in the most recent course. To qualify, you must have one of the following –

  • BMI 27 and over
  • Belly size 100 cm and over
  • Trouser size 37 inches and over

The 12-week programme aims to help participants:

  • Increase knowledge of diet & nutrition
  • Improve lifestyle choices
  • Increase physical activity amongst participants
  • Reduce weight and waist measurements
  • Increase engagement in other physical activity

The power of FFIT really is something special – just ask some of our success stories! Susan Ramsay, Tom Buchan, Iain Barnes and Scot Smart are just some of the participants who have turned their lives around thanks to FFIT!

Iain topped the scales at 21 stone before he took the plunge and signed up.  Five months on, he had lost an incredible 4.5 stone and felt amazing!

Scot Smart was another success story, commenting: “The course had such an impact on my life that I just want to share that and hopefully inspire someone.”

“The peer support and motivation from the coaches was key. The programme was the catalyst for me improving my life and I’d like to wish each and every participant signing up now the best of luck – you will have the support you need to change your life for the better.”

The programme was created by the SPFL Trust in partnership with the University of Glasgow and is funded in Scotland by the Scottish Government.

Research has determined that the power of being ‘in your own club’ (for example, being behind the scenes, by the pitch, etc) is a strong motivating factor, and results in a very much higher level of programme ‘completers’.
