How would you like to take part in our brand new 8 hour continuous 7 a-side walking football match?

This exciting new fundraising challenge will take place on Sunday 8th September from 9am to 5pm at the Ibrox Community Complex on our brand new 3G pitch with panoramic views of Ibrox Stadium.

Walking Football is a fast growing, inclusive version of the sport which is non-contact and allows participants to play the game they love without the same risk of injury or level of exertion, whilst still boosting fitness and having fun.

Normally our walking football programme is adults aged 50 and over but we are opening this event up to anyone over 16 to try it out. Male and Female participants are welcome and the teams will be mixed with each playing slot being for 2 hours.

All participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, snacks and refreshments as well as a free branded aluminium water bottle.

There will be ex Rangers players making guest appearances throughout the day.

Registration fees are £15 and each slot booked requires the participant to raise £150 fundraising. Participants can book more than one slot but should raise £150 per 2 hour slot (registration fees do not need to be paid twice).

Please note, the games will follow the Walking Football Rules below:

  • No running
  • No tackling
  • 3 touches for each individual player every time they are on the ball
  • No goals scored in the box
  • The ball can only go as high as the crossbar, otherwise it’s a free kick
  • If someone commits a foul 3 times, it is a penalty to the opposing team
  • Penalties are taken from a standing position, foot planted on the ground.
  • Subs can be rolled on rolled off (each team will have 3 subs)
  • When the ball goes out of play it is a kick in or a corner kick.
