Nominate Your Rangers Heart Hero!

Thu 15th February 2024

Today we are launching a brand-new campaign to encourage fans to nominate their ‘Rangers Heart Hero.’

A Rangers Heart Hero could be, for example, someone who has saved a life via CPR, has been an advocate for training people in CPR, has been brave or inspirational facing a heart condition or has been an exceptional fundraiser or volunteer for our National Charity Partner, the British Heart Foundation.

British Heart Foundation logoWe have been inspired by the British Heart Foundation’s own ‘Heart Heroes’ awards which celebrate the incredible fundraisers, young advocates, lifesavers, healthcare professionals and outstanding supporters who go above and beyond for the British Heart Foundation.

With an estimated 700,000 people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Scotland, and the conditions being some of Scotland’s biggest killers, we know so many fans will have been touched in some way by heart and circulatory diseases.

We want to highlight some of the Heart Heroes out there to inspire others and draw attention to vital information surrounding heart health, such as how to learn CPR, diet and exercise tips and where to go for help and advice.

If you know someone who deserves this recognition, you can nominate them by e-mailing details to rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk. Nominations will close on Friday 22 March at 5pm.

We would like to know their name, age and contact details, and a little bit about them and why you think they should be a Heart Hero, as well as your own name and contact details. (Please check that the person you are nominating is happy for us to contact them before sending on their details).

Over the coming weeks, we will share some of the inspiring stories of our nominees before announcing a winner in May. The winner will receive a shirt signed by the First Team squad and 2 tickets for a post-split game, where they will be presented with their prize on the pitch at half time. (Please note that we will not provide transport to and from the game for the winner, only the match tickets.)
