Join The Rangers Family In MardiGla March
Fri 9th June 2023
Rangers Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation will again be taking part in this year’s MardiGla event in Glasgow and are inviting supporters to join them.
The Pride march will be held on Saturday 15th July and will travel through the City Centre.
The Rangers group will be displaying an inclusive Everyone Anyone banner and is keen to invite supporters to join them in celebrating equality.
The Foundation was delighted to recently pick up the gong in the Community Ally category at the Proud Scotland awards for our work promoting diversity and inclusion.
The Proud Scotland awards celebrate the work and commitment of individuals and organisations supportive of the LBGTQ+ community and the Community Ally category recognises those who support the community and have gone above and beyond for LGBTQ+ equality.
Our Diversity Wins programme was one of the initiatives which helped the Foundation secure this coveted award. Launched in 2018, it was one of the first programmes of its kind in the UK and delivered LGBTQ+ inclusive education to school children across Glasgow.
Rangers Charity Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, said:
“We’re looking forward to standing side by side with the Club to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community.
“The Club and Foundation are proud to be inclusive for everyone and we hope that the Rangers family will join us to celebrate this, at what will be a special afternoon in Glasgow.”
Full details on timings and location will be sent to participants nearer the time. If you would like to take part with Rangers, please email your name and t-shirt size to rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk before Monday 19th June.
T shirts will be limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you have been allocated a T shirt, these will be allocated on the day.
Bright colours welcome!
