Join Rangers in MardiGla pride march

Thu 4th July 2019

Rangers Football Club and Rangers Charity Foundation will be teaming up with Ibrox Pride for this year’s MardiGla and are inviting supporters take part.

The Pride march will be held on Saturday 20th July; beginning in Kelvingrove Park, before weaving its way to George Square.

Alongside Rangers FC’s Official LGBT+ Supporters Club, Ibrox Pride, the group will be displaying an inclusive banner and t-shirts, and are inviting people from all backgrounds to join them.

Rangers Charity Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, said: “We’re looking forward to standing side by side with the Club and Ibrox Pride, to show our support for the LGBT+ community and beyond.

“The Club and Foundation are proud to be inclusive for everyone and we hope that the Rangers family will join us to celebrate this, at what will be a special afternoon in Glasgow.”

Ibrox Pride Co-Chair, Carole Anderson, added: “Ibrox Pride is delighted to be joining the Club and Charity Foundation at MardiGla and we invite all LGBT+ Rangers fans, their families and friends to join us on the march and show support for inclusive football.”

The MardiGla march will begin in Kelvingrove Park at approximately 12.15pm and participants are requested to meet at 10:30am. If you would like to take part with Rangers, please email your name and t-shirt size to rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk before Thursday 11th July.
