Get Your Place at Ride London!
Wed 23rd March 2016
The ballot for the hugely popular RideLondon 100 is now closed but the Rangers Charity Foundation has two coveted charity assured places up for grabs at this iconic cycling event.
RideLondon 100 is a perfect ride for both club and recreational cyclists, providing a challenge in itself and the opportunity for faster riders to pit themselves against the country’s top amateurs.
If you want to take part in this iconic event on Sunday 31 July through the closed roads of the Capital and the Surrey Hills, get in touch with us now on 0141 580 8775 or e-mail rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk.
The Foundation’s participants in previous years were blown away by the experience. Jim Bertram commented, “The ride in its inaugural year was an absolutely fantastic experience and the people of London turned out in their thousands to cheer us on from start to finish.
“From the middle of Leith Hill and all the way up Box Hill the encouragement was superb. The towns of Dorking and Wimbledon were absolutely packed and not forgetting that final leg under the arch and up the mall – definitely one of the best occasions I have been lucky enough to be part of!”
Kevin MacDonald, who proposed at the finish line to his girlfriend Stacey Dawson, commented, “Not only was it a privilege to cycle on behalf of the charity again but the whole atmosphere was excellent. I almost felt like a pro as people were shouting at us from the side of the roads. And not to forget what made it the best day ever – Stacey Dawson saying yes!”
Participants are required to raise a minimum of £420 if they are paying for the event via sponsorship. Riders who raise more than £100 for the Foundation will also become a True Blue Hero and will be invited to a special reception to receive their True Blue Hero medal from a Rangers first team player.
