The Club’s official charity helps bring smiles to the faces of those who are most in need of a boost, through its ‘Dream Fund’ initiative.

10 Dream Day nominees and their guests gathered at the Rangers Training Centre in the morning and had the chance to meet the First Team and Manager, enjoy an exclusive autograph session and watch the squad train. It was the first time since before Covid-19 this had been possible.

The group, who had all been nominated for this exclusive experience by family or friends, then enjoyed a special lunch at Ibrox and a stadium tour.

Evelyn Wilson, who is receiving treatment for cancer, was nominated for a Dream Day experience by her friend Karen.

Speaking at the Training Centre, Evelyn said:

“Today was truly inspirational and really special.”

Having had her latest chemotherapy treatment only the day before, Evelyn added:

“Knowing I was going to get the chance to spend time with Rangers heroes, it certainly helped get me out my bed this morning”

Jock Carstairs, also battling cancer said:

“It’s like all your Christmases rolled into one. To meet your heroes is just unreal.”

First Team Player Ryan Jack commented:

“It is great for us as players to have these days. It goes a long way the support we get from the fans and it’s great to be able to give something back and put a smile on people’s faces who are going through a tough time.”

Manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst said:

“People are in very difficult situations and sometimes all you can do is help them and make sure you are thinking of them. Of course they are huge Rangers fans and to have them here, to give autographs and just talk about the situation really helps them.

“I think it is a very good thing that the Foundation invites them so we can make a little time in their lives special.”
