Lorna's Story

Lorna McEwan may only be 5 years old, but she’s definitely got a big heart! Lorna earned herself a True Blue Hero medal by raising £350 for the Foundation from a bake sale – and don’t her cakes look great?!

She was inspired to fundraise after her grandfather William was invited along to one of our Dream Fund matchdays.  William sadly has terminal cancer, but had an amazing day at Ibrox with three guests at hospitality.

William commented: "The day was a dream come true, from the minute we arrived we received a warm welcome.  We met true legends Jorg Albertz and Willie Henderson (a true gentleman.) It was just amazing. The day was just perfect I could never thank the charity enough, the work and effort they put in is second to none."

Lorna was so delighted that her Grandad had the chance to make some great memories that she decided to bake some cakes to sell for the Foundation.

She commented: "I wanted to raise money for charity as some people don't have houses and some people are really sick too. I think it’s good to get money to help them. I had to sell raffle tickets and I made lots of different cakes to sell."

Lorna’s Mum Lynette also took part in our Big Ibrox Sleep Outs and raised £170 – a true family effort!  Well done to the McEwans!
