Walk with Connal and the Royal Regiment

Event Date: Sat 6th April 2019

Foundation Director Connal Cochrane is taking on a special personal challenge this year to walk 54 miles in 20 hours to raise funds for the Foundation’s Armed Forces Fund and as part of his preparations for the challenge is hoping supporters will join him on a special walk on Saturday 6th April from Balmaha to Milngavie.

Connal will be joined by members of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, who are supporting Connal for the challenge itself on 2 May.

This is a great opportunity to become a True Blue Hero and support our serving personnel and veterans via the Foundation’s Armed Forces Fund. Everyone who raised £100 or more from the challenge will become a True Blue Hero and will be invited to a special reception to receive a medal from a Rangers First Team player.

To find out more or sign up to take part in this walk with Connal and the Royal Regiment, contact the Foundation on 0141 580 8875 or e-mail rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk.

Connal also has a number of other training walks planned should you be unable to make the 6th April date:

  • Saturday 2 March – Glasgow to Kilsyth along the Forth & Clyde Canal (12 miles)
  • Sunday 10 March – Drymen to Milngavie (12 miles)
  • Saturday 13 or Sunday 14 April - Glasgow to Kilsyth along the Forth & Clyde Canal…and back again! (24 miles)

All walks will start at 9am and anyone who is keen to join Connal for one of these walks can contact him by emailing rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk. You can also find out more about Connal's 54 in 20 challenge here.
