Legends Jerseys Up For Grabs!
Fri 13th April 2018
You watched them play, now it is your chance to own their jersey.
The Rangers Charity Foundation has 12 one-off Rangers shirts from the recent Legends Return match for sale to raise funds to support the work we do.
A must for any shirt collector and supporter, these jerseys have never gone on public sale so truly are pieces of unique memorabilia.
Signed both front and back, we have two shirts signed by the entire teams, including managers Walter Smith and Ally McCoist, as well as individual shirts from a range of players who took part in the game, such as Pedro Mendes, Andy Goram, Jonatan Johansson and Mark Walters.
Manufactured by Puma, each shirt has an embroidered Rangers crest with the five stars above and ‘The Rangers Legends 24-03-18’ stitched underneath. The lettering and numbering used on the back is the official lettering and numbering used by the First Team for SPFL matches.
Shirts come in a presentation box and include a matchday programme from the Legends Return game and a Certificate of Authenticity.
Each shirt is listed on the Rangers Charity Foundation’s e-bay site with bidding starting at £200 on the individual player shirts and the ‘Buy It Now’ price set at £500. The two shirts, one blue and one orange, signed by all players and both managers have reserves of £300 and ‘Buy It Now’ prices of £800. If someone meets the ‘Buy It Now’ price of any shirt it will immediately be taken off sale. All auctions will close on April 23.
Succesful bidders will receive their shirt via Royal Mail First Class Tracked Signed Post (within the UK) or Royal Mail International Signed (Rest of the World).
If you are a collector, fan or looking for a gift for the Rangers supporter in your life then don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity.

Pedro Mendes
Postion: Midfielder
Appearances: 50
Goals: 4
Who will ever forget Pedro Mendes’ thunderbolt at Parkhead as Rangers ran riot to win 4-2 back in August 2008? The Portuguese midfielder’s spell in Glasgow may have been short but boy did he create a lasting impression at Rangers with some stunning goals in importatn matches. None more so that that sweet long distance strike.

Andy Goram
Position: Goalkeeper
Appearances: 260
The Goalie. Andy Goram adored Rangers just as much as Rangers fans adored him and he single-handedly won games with his unbelievable shot-stopping abilities. Voted the best goalkeepr in Rangers’ long history, Andy signed for the Club in 1991 and stayed until 1998. He was part of the Nine in a Row squad as he picked up six league titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups.

Jonatan Johansson
Position: Striker
Appearances: 74
Goals: 25
The former striker arrived an unknown quantity but soon won the hearts of the Rangers supporters with his attacking play. Jonatan signed for Walter Smith but didn’t get his chance to shine until Dick Advocaat arrived at Ibrox. In his time at the Club as a player he was part of the squad that won the domestictreble and double in Advocaat’s first two seasons. He is now an assistant coach as part of Graeme Murty’s first-team backroom staff.

Mark Walters
Position: Winger
Appearances: 144
Goals: 50
Mark Walters notched 50 goals in 144 games in his Rangers career having transferred from Aston Villa in 1987. Walters was part of the side that won the title in 1989, 1990 and 1991. This meant he enjoyed the most successful spell of his career in terms of trophies won while playing for the Gers. His best returns cam in the 1988/89 campaign where he found the back of the net 17 times in 48 matches, and then 15 goals in 398 games om his final season in 1990/91.

Lee McCulloch
Position: Defender/Midfielder/Striker
Appearances: 303
Goals: 70
From Wigan Athletic to the UEFA Cup Final and the Third Division, Lee McCulloch’s journey to sign for his boyhood heroes and subsequent Ibrox career is rather unique. Signed as a left midfielder, Lee featured there in his debut season as the Gers went all the way to the Manchester final of the UEFA Cup. He was then used as a central midfielder, striker and even a centre-back as McCulloch opted to stay for the adventure through the lower leagues from 2012 to 2015.

Gregory Vignal
Position: Defender
Appearances: 42
Goals: 3
As a general rule of life at Rangers, if you score against Celtic you will be fondly remembered. And Gregory is one of those after his long-range strike in a 2-0 win at Parkhead. The French left-back joined from Liverpool on loan and was part of the squad to win a double that season of League and League Cup. He joined the Academy staff in January this year as a coach.

Ronald Waterreus
Position: Goalkeeper
Appearances: 64
Dutch stopper Ronald Waterreus arrived at Ibrox in 2005 initially as cover for Stefan Klos, but he quickly made the number 1 spot his own due to an injury to the German. He came to Rangers with a pedigree having spent 10 years at PSV Eindhoven and a brief spell at Manchester City. He appeared 64 times between the sticks, including the historic Champions League campaign of 2005/06 where the Gers reached the last 16 for the first time.

Graham Roberts
Position: Defender
Appearances: 69
Goals: 2
Graham Roberts played for Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and various other English clubs in his career as a defender – but he’ll always remember his stint at Rangers. He won the League title in his first full season after signing for Graeme Souness, as well as the League Cup the following season. Many will remember Roberts’ role in a memorable Old Firm match in October 1987, as he replaced Chris Woods between the posts after the goalkeeper had been sent off.

Kevin Thomson
Position: Midfielder
Appearances: 109
Goals: 3
Injury has cut short the career of Kevin Thomson but the 33-year-old still has plenty of experiences to look back on as a former Rangers, Hibs and Middlesbrough midfielder. Thomson became a fans’ favourite pretty quickly with gutsy displays in the midfield engine room, an Old Firm winning goal and a famous pair of tackles on Robbie Keane. He was key in squads that led to him claiming four major winners medals at Rangers.

Alex Rae
Position: Winger
Appearances: 44
Goals: 1
Ferocious, passionate and combative. And that probably doesn’t come close to properly describing Alex Rae’s traits as a player at Rangers. The boyhood fan played in the youth ranks as a kid but was released – the midfielder did get to pull on the famous jersey for the senior team though when he re-signed in 2004. He helped the Gers to a League and League Cup double in his debut season.
