Programmes at Ibrox temporarily suspended

Mon 16th March 2020

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and its growing impact on our day-to-day activities, we at the Rangers Charity Foundation have come to the unfortunate decision to temporarily suspend a number of our community programmes.

From tomorrow (17th March), the following face-to-face programmes at Ibrox will not be running until further notice:

  • Wider Achievement
  • Job Club
  • Ready4Employment (DWP)
  • Recovery Drop-in (not on Monday 16th March)
  • Football Memories
  • FFIT and FFIT continuation
  • Diversity Wins

The decision comes as Rangers Football Club looks to limit the amount of activity taking place at Ibrox.

On Friday 13th March, we announced that the following football programmes will be temporarily suspended until further notice:

  • Visually Impaired Football
  • Autism Friendly Football
  • Walking Football
  • North West Youth Project (Street Football)

This remains the same, with the decision following the news that all domestic professional and grassroots football under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA will be suspended.

The health, welfare and safety of all our programme participants, volunteers and staff are our primary concern. We are extremely sorry for any disappointment this might cause, but hope that all our participants will understand, and hope to share a more positive update with everyone when we’re able.

If you have any further queries, you can contact the team via email at rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk or call 0141 580 8775.
