Mon 16th January 2023
The Rangers Charity Foundation is proud to have donated training wear to football teams in Malawi.
Partnering with Strips4Malawi, clothing was distributed to different academies in the country, including the Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy (ETSA) in the northern region.
Shupo Kumwenda, Executive Director of ETSA, said: “Thanks so much for your help. Our sports academy has different ages up to the senior teams of the age 25 years. This will help them and also, we are helping local teams and schools in our community that makes us happy to see local clubs in a village having nice strips.
“You will receive a lot of smiles in photos from Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy and its community.”
A Foundation for Giving
Across the country, thousands of people every week set out to raise money for a charitable cause close to their heart and the Foundation is there to help whenever it can.
The Foundation makes in-kind donations to charities, community groups and other worthwhile causes worth thousands of pounds every year. Donating tickets, tours, signed merchandise and souvenir packs can make a huge difference to local fundraisers and it is proud to have supported every kind of project imaginable, from grassroots football, youth groups and care homes to cancer charities, hospices and services-related causes.
The Foundation also helps by providing charities with the opportunity to hold a can collection at Ibrox stadium, donating complimentary match tickets to individuals and community groups via its Tickets For Good scheme and sending letters and goodie bags to children and adults in hospital.
