Run For Rangers

Wed 10th May 2017

The Great Scottish Run 2017 is now open for participants and we are looking for people to run to raise funds for the Foundation.

Held this year on Sunday, October 1, the event is part of one of the biggest running festivals in Scotland with thousands either taking part in a 10K or half marathon.

Running for the Foundation means you will be running to make a huge difference on behalf of the Rangers Family as every penny you raise will help us support our charity partners and carry out our own work in the local community.

What’s more by signing up to run for us, those over the age of 15 will get to come along to two exclusive training sessions in the run up to the event put on by a Rangers coach. We will also supply you with a free Rangers Charity Foundation running vest and a fundraising pack full of ideas, hints and tips to help you boost your fundraising total.

It costs just £27 to sign up for the 10K and £34 for the half marathon and there is no minimum fundraising target, we just ask that you raise as much as you can. However, every person who raises over £100 will be invited along to an exclusive reception at Ibrox Stadium to be presented with a True Blue Hero medal by one of the first team players.

If you’ve already secured your own spot at the Great Scottish Run, get in touch with us using the details below and we will add you to the Rangers Charity Foundation team.

If you don’t yet have your place in the event, head to greatscottishrun.com and secure your place today then let us know and we will send out your free running vest and race pack.

Both events start in George Square and finish up in Glasgow Green taking in the River Clyde and iconic landmarks and buildings including The Hydro, The Finnieston Crane and Pacific Quay on route.

As well as spectators lining the route to cheer runners on entertainment along the course includes a choir, bagpipers, drumming band and water stations.

For families wanting to take part the event organisers have set up Toddler Dash, Junior 2.5K and Family Mile races on Super Saturday, September 30, the day before the 10K and half marathon. Families taking part in those are also invited to raise funds for the Foundation.

Good luck!
