The Rangers Charity Foundation has been given a special opportunity by the Club to hold a match at The Rangers Football Centre at Auchenhowie on Thursday 1 June. If you dream of seeing behind the scenes of the Club’s top class facility at Auchenhowie, play a full 90 minute game and enjoy some post-match refreshments in the First Team Dining Room, then sign up now to take part! Players will receive an exclusive tour of the Rangers Football Centre, including the First Team Dressing Room.

We have scheduled the game on Thursday 1 June on the 4G pitch at The Rangers Football Centre, with a 7pm kick-off.  There will be 16 players in each Rangers Home Team and Away Team made up of 1 goalkeeper, 4 forwards, 6 midfielders and 5 defenders. A starting 11 will be picked at random on the day for each team with a rolling substitution policy throughout the match. Rangers Charity Foundation t-shirts will be provided to each team and players are asked to provide their own shorts, socks and boots. A Man of the Match trophy will also be awarded with Rangers Community Coaching staff on hand throughout to help with team selection and tactics. There will also be limited capacity for some spectators to attend the game, however due to security and other necessary restrictions only players will be permitted access to the centre. 

To secure a place on one of the teams, you must be aged 17 or over and be fit and able to play a full game. Each player must pledge to raise at least £125 prior to the match from which a deposit of £50 must be paid in advance in order to secure a place. Players can raise their minimum £125 target via sponsorship and the Foundation will provide details on how to set up a JustGiving page and send out sponsorship forms. Alternatively, players can make a payment directly to the Foundation. 

What’s more, every player who takes part and manages to raise £225 or more in support of the Foundation’s great charity work will become a True Blue Hero for the Foundation and be invited to a special fundraisers reception during 2017 to receive a True Blue Hero medal from a first team player.

Please note: Due to maintenance work on the pitch we are unable to offer Play On The Pitch at Ibrox this season.
