Join the Rangers Running Team and train at the Hummel Training Centre!

Mon 13th August 2018

You could join fellow supporters this Saturday (18 August) at the Hummel Training Centre for an exclusive training session with a Rangers community coach if you sign up for the Great Scottish Run on behalf of the Rangers Charity Foundation.

The Great Scottish Run takes place this year on Sunday, September 30 in Glasgow and offers a fantastic target to get or keep fit whilst raising funds for a brilliant cause!

Last year a team of almost 50 runners donned Rangers running vests and raised thousands of pounds which helped support our charity partners and work in the community as well as bringing a smile to the faces of those needing a boost via the Rangers Charity Dream Fund.

Running for the Rangers Charity Foundation comes with some amazing exclusive benefits. You will be given a Rangers running vest to keep, invited to two free training sessions at the Hummel Training Centre (on Saturday 18 August and Saturday 8 September) and be sent a pack full of ideas, hints and tips to help you boost your fundraising total.

The Great Scottish Run is one of the biggest running festivals in Scotland with over 30,000 taking part last year in either the 10K or half marathon.

Both events start in the centre of the city, in George Square and take in some of Glasgow’s most famous sights, including the River Clyde, The Hydro, Pacific Quay and the McLennan Arch before finishing in Glasgow Green. The 10K course which is reasonably flat is a fun one to run for runners of all abilities. Those doing the half marathon will also venture through Pollok Park and Bellahouston Park as part of their route.

It costs just £28 to sign up for the 10K and £35 for the half marathon and there is no minimum fundraising target, we just ask that you raise as much as you can. However, every person who raises over £100 will be invited along to an exclusive reception at Ibrox Stadium to be presented with a True Blue Hero medal by one of the first team players.

If you’ve already secured your own spot at the Great Scottish Run, all you need to do is let us know you want to raise funds through sponsorship for us. Get in touch by emailing rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk or calling 0141 580 8775 and we will add you to the Rangers Charity Foundation team as well as sending out your free running vest and race pack including details of the two Hummel Training Centre training dates.

If you don’t yet have your place in the event, head to greatscottishrun.com and secure your place today then inform us that you have done so by emailing rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk or calling 0141 580 8775 and everything will be sent out to you.

Please note, you must be 15 or over on the day of the event in order to run in the 10K and 17 or over to take part in the half marathon.
