Rangers Football Club and the Rangers Charity Foundation are launching an innovative new ticket scheme with a double benefit for charity – Tickets for Good.

Tickets for Good will allow supporters to directly pledge their help to people from local good causes, including veterans and armed forces personnel, gifting them the chance to attend a match at Ibrox.  Through the scheme, the Club is making available 2,000 tickets for league fixtures during season 2016/17 which will be available for sale for just £10 each.  By buying tickets through the scheme, supporters will be giving the opportunity to people in need of support in our community to attend a match at Ibrox and at the same time raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation.

The Rangers Charity Foundation will donate the tickets pledged by supporters to a variety of local community groups and charities for the benefit of service users, volunteers and carers, so that they can take in the special atmosphere at Ibrox and enjoy a home league fixture.  For some of the lucky recipients it might be the first time they have had the opportunity to attend a game.

Tickets will also be donated by the Foundation to veterans and armed forces personnel as part of the scheme.  And what’s more, every penny from the sale of the 2,000 tickets will be given to the Rangers Charity Foundation in order to boost its work in the local community and to help vulnerable children around the world via its special partnership with Unicef.

With the potential to raise £20,000 for the Rangers Charity Foundation and welcome 2,000 people from a host of local worthwhile causes, Tickets for Good is an exciting new initiative to which the Club hopes fans will be proud to give their backing.

Rangers Managing Director Stewart Robertson said “The fantastic work of the Rangers Charity Foundation and strong charitable traditions at the Club are a powerful combination and we are delighted to launch the Tickets for Good scheme.

“It has the potential to make a real difference for thousands of people, whether that be the memorable experience of seeing Rangers in action at Ibrox or perhaps through a new health or education programme that the Foundation is able to deliver in the local community”.

Every supporter who buys a Ticket for Good will receive a message of thanks following their purchase and then a follow up message with examples of the people and causes which benefited from their generous gesture.  The Club will make tickets available for a range of matches during the season, matching the number of Tickets for Good bought.

Foundation Director Connal Cochrane added “The Rangers Charity Foundation is proud to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family and is looking forward to announcing a range of new charity partnerships over the coming weeks.  In addition, we’ll be launching new community programmes which demonstrate our commitment to help people reach their potential, be healthier and enjoy more opportunities in life.

“There is an exciting season in prospect for the Club and I believe that the Rangers Charity Foundation has every reason to be excited about the year ahead too.  The charitable spirit at Rangers is second to none and I hope that Tickets for Good will capture the imagination of our supporters”.

Tickets for Good are available to buy online now by clicking here or by visiting the Rangers Ticket Centre in person.    Unlike usual ticket purchases, no physical tickets will be sent out because any tickets bought will then be provided by the Club to the Rangers Charity Foundation for onward donation to a range of local causes.  In addition, thanks to online ticketing provider Advanced who we have partnered with, there will be no cost associated with any purchase due to the special charitable nature of this scheme.
