Keep Ibrox Beautiful!
Event Date: Sun 8th April 2018
Ibrox has been the home of Rangers for over 100 years and is an area we are proud to be part of.
We are looking for a team of people to enter into the community spirit with us, and help us to make a real difference to the area around the Stadium by taking part in regular clean ups. Our April clean up will take place on Sunday 8th April from 11am.
Duties may include litter picking around local streets and helping identify areas that may require a little bit of extra care and attention. These voluntary events are suitable for people of all ages and all equipment will be provided.
We are working together with Community Safety Glasgow to arrange the clean ups and volunteers will be asked to meet at the Stadium for a pre-clean team talk, and we will then head out for an hour or so before heading back to the Stadium for some well-deserved refreshments.
As an active member of the community we already have a number of local projects in place such as our walking football programme and weekly football fans in training sessions. This new inititiative builds on that even further as we strive to continue playing our part in being a good neighbour.
No previous experience is required to become a volunteer as all training will be provided. Anyone under the age of 16 who volunteers will need to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
Each person who volunteers 25 hours of their time or more to any of our designated projects will be recognised as True Blue Heroes in the same way as those who fundraise £100 or more for us by taking on a personal challenge - this means they will be invited along to an exclusive reception at Ibrox to be presented with a True Blue Hero medal and pin badge by a First Team player!
