Scott's Lands End to John O'Groats Adventure

Rangers fan Scott Crighton set out to run from Land’s End to John O’Groats in just 30 days to raise funds for the Foundation - an amazing feat that saw him run more than a marathon every day for 30 consecutive days!

Starting on 10 June in Land’s End, he reached Glasgow ahead of schedule on 28 June and went on to reach John O’Groats on 9 July, completeing 1,000 miles in total - an extraordinary physical feat.

Scott commented, “It was incredibly tough getting up each morning and knowing I had to start running again, and there were some really difficult stretches, such as the hills at Glencoe and the changing weather. I was sunburned and blistered, and hailed on, running through the cold and wet and then hot sunshine! I have gone though 4 pairs of trainers as well!”

“A highlight was reaching Scotland - that was a great feeling and of course the satisfaction of completing the challenge.  There were times, particularly after I reached Glasgow, when I was struggling with very painful legs and calves, that I doubted I would make it, but I would like to thank everyone who helped me along the way and supported me.  The comments on my Facebook group really kept me going.”
